A Message From Our Principal
March, 2023
Dear Esperanza Families,
This afternoon we welcomed families for Math Family Day. As I walked the halls and classrooms, I reflected on the unity on this campus. Children arrived with other family members to estimate how many M & Ms were in the jars, get a treat and head to classrooms to learn new math games. These experiences add up in the minds of our students, and here at Esperanza we will continue to provide a rich variety of curricular and extra-curricular experiences for our children and families.
I felt that same sense of unity here at Esperanza on Saturday afternoon--the second Saturday of the month--as we held our monthly reading club event with local non-profit community partner Reading to Kids. Children and volunteers celebrated reading together, and the morning ended with a joyous concert featuring instrumental music students. Many of those who performed also study music at our community partner The Colburn School, and it was great to hear the violin music from our former students Ana and Anthony, now in sixth grade.
Our amazing faculty continues to collaborate on high-quality instruction in the curricular areas. This year we opened a collaborative work space on campus. Throughout the day it buzzes with activity as our educators and paraeducators work hard to provide our students with high-quality, engaging instruction.
